I saved lives!

yesterday i gave blood for the first time. it was a very exciting experience.

my neighbor is a parent in a school that has a bi-annual blood drive. she asked me to help out just to keep things running smoothly, and once i was there, i figured i might as well give blood. i have to admit, the needles are kind of big and scary looking, but if needles intimidate me, well, then I'm making the wrong career choice.

i walked away with a free t-shirt, bag, pin, sticker, and a good feeling that i was able to help sick people.

Congrats from this long time blood donor.

I remember that I fainted the first time I gave blood, back when I was 18. It gets much, much easier the more you do it.

May you be able to give blood continually for many, many years -- and may the demand for it be very low.

I haven't been here in a long time, so not sure when you changed your background to blue, but it's much better!

That's great you were able to donate blood and help out and get all those little chackies.

Giving blood is great and I would just faint from the needles, not the giving.

Dude, all I got was a little sticker and some awful juice. Oh, and I found out my blood type, which was nice.

It was crazy how scared all the guys, where I gave, were scared silly of the blood. One of the nurses rolled her eyes and said, "Men: they could never give birth!"
